Edmond "Ed" Robinson 1867–1926

Ed is the third child and second son of Cornelius and Martha, who was born in Darlington, South Carolina, May, 1867.  He spent most of his formative years in Darlington, moving with his widowed mother, Martha and four of his five siblings to Pulaski County, Arkansas in the mid to late 1880s.  There he married Miss Sarah Wright (b. Georgia) on March 31, 1887.  To this union, six children were born:

Eugene Robinson (b. 1891 - )


Mattie Robinson (b. 1894 - ) 


Jessie Robinson (b. 1895 - )


Willie Mae Robinson (b. 1896 - )


Gracie Robinson (b. 1899 - )


The couple settled in Big Rock Township of Pulaski County. Sarah passed away in the early 1900s, leaving Ed to raise the children.  In the 1906, Ed married Mrs. Emma Sanders (b. Alabama) who was also a widow with six children.  In 1910, (census) Ed and Emma now have eight children in their home, two of Ed’s (Willie Mae and Gracie) and four of Emma’s (Annie, Charles, Sallie, Johnie, Robert and Jesse Sanders).  The couple remained together until his death at the age of 59 in 1926. 


Ed is buried in Grimmette Cemetery in Little Maumelle community, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
